Glensheen Open During Grandma’s Marathon

Glensheen is conveniently open for tours all day during Grandma’s Marathon! Many will walk or bike or run to us in the hours before London Road opens back up at 1:00 pm.
Whether you’re looking for your 21-mile pit stop or the perfect place to cheer on runners, Glensheen Mansion is perfectly situated on London Road. It is a bit ironic that thousands of people run on this road in 2017; only 100 years ago, Glensheen was ‘out-of-town’ and London Road was rough dirt.
Grandma’s Marathon weekend is buzzing with people excited to experience Duluth. As one of the city’s and northern Minnesota’s most visited destinations, Glensheen Mansion is on the must-see list for all Twin-Ports visitors. Come take a tour of the 39-room mansion on the shore of Lake Superior.
