Zenith City on Tap – The Parks of Minnesota Point

Minnesota Point: Duluth’s Summertime Resort
Minnesota Point was a popular spot for summertime fun long before there even was a Duluth and contains two of the city’s oldest parks—but they were mostly ignored for their first 50 years and it took until 1940 to create the Minnesota Point Recreation Area. Zenith City’s Nancy Nelson and Tony Dierckins discuss how people have used Minnesota Point as a playground from the 1850s until today. Adapted from the book Duluth’s Historic Parks: Their First 160 Years.

 Presentations will be held in Glensheen’s Amusement Room in the lower level of the mansion. Guests will enter through the mansion’s front door.
