Join us every Saturday in September and the first three Saturdays in October at Glensheen for Cider Saturdays!
Talk about a tour perk, right?
We are highlighting the local cideries we have in town, Duluth Cider and Wild State Cider.
Cider, warm drinks, and other beverages will be available for purchase in the wood cabin on the shore of Lake Superior.
Why cider at Glensheen?
Did you know Chester Congdon loved apples? The Congdon’s have another mansion, called the Congdon Castle out in Yakima Valley Washington. Here, Chester started the Congdon Orchards.
Congdon didn’t just like apples, he was obsessed with apples. He traveled all over the world researching different irrigation systems and learning about different types of apples.
So come down, take a tour, and enjoy a cider or two!
Want to skip the mansion tour and just come for the cider and to enjoy the grounds?
Purchase a $5 Grounds Admission as a non-tour guest. Guests 15-years-old & under receive FREE Grounds Admission with the purchase of an adult Grounds Admission.
