Experience a Duluth tradition at Concerts on the Pier at Glensheen Mansion, perched along the shores of Lake Superior! Artists play on the historic pier, jutting out into Lake Superior.

At Concerts, guests can connect with neighbors and friends, play lawn games, grab some grub from a local food truck, enjoy a refreshing drink, eat local-favorite Love Creamery ice cream, or take a seat by a lakeside campfire.

8.23.23 NEW SALTY DOG
Their rhythms may be a little bossy. Their drummers commanded me to feel Saucy. Another Duluth band that can hold a groove. The Bass lines funk and the bootys move. Some songs tell stories and others tell moods. They sing about friends and they sing about foods. With Improvisations both jarring and dreamy, one guitar clucks and the other ones creamy. Looking for a band to follow outta the fog? Well look no further than New Salty Dog.

PARKING
Walk, bike, kayak, boat, or ride share here!
LIMITED parking is available onsite, so those who plan to drive should arrive early. Please avoid driving here if you can.
If you are driving here, please be kind to our neighbors and follow the City of Duluth’s parking rules. https://duluthmn.gov/parking/on-street-parking/

NEW to Concerts, we will be running a shuttle bus (thanks to Voyageur Bus Company) from UMD’s Maroon Lot B (see map image) by the Heikkila Chemistry & Advanced Materials Science Building (HCAMS) down to Glensheen and back. Parking in this lot is FREE. The bus will be running on a continuous loop to and from Glensheen and UMD’s Maroon Lot B between 5PM (first pick up at UMD) and 9PM (last boarding at Glensheen at 8:30PM).

A map of a parking lot with locations identified for parking at UMD.

If you plan to ride the bus, we would kindly ask that you donate $5 per rider to the Friends of Glensheen fund (https://buff.ly/451o8Yv) to help support the ongoing operations of our nonprofit museum. We will have QR codes to scan on the bus and a physical donation receptacle at Glensheen for those wishing to donate with cash. This is a great option for folks looking to get dropped off right by the front gate!

KAYAKS & CANOES
Glensheen DOES NOT offer onsite launching for canoes or kayaks. If you plan to launch your kayak at the 42nd Ave E & London Rd Beach, please DO NOT park on 42nd Ave E. Plan to park along or above London Rd and to carry your kayak down to the public beach access. Excessive congestion in this area can lead to problems for neighbors and emergency responders. Thank you for your cooperation!

PRO-TIPS
If you must drive here, come well before 5:00 pm and purchase a $5 Grounds Admission to get in early and enjoy the grounds. Think of the $5 Grounds Admission as your parking pass.

Taking a tour prior to the concert is a great way to snag a good parking spot and the best seat on the shore. Glensheen is open daily from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm for self-guided tours.

ACCESSIBILITY
If accommodations such as an interpreter are needed, please make accommodation requests two weeks in advance for each performance. Accommodation requests can be made by contacting info@glensheen.org.
