JOIN US ON OUR 12-ACRE LAKESIDE ESTATE WEDNESDAY EVENINGS TO ENJOY SHARK WATCHING, WALKING TACOS, AND CAMPFIRES.

Free Wednesday Nights | Shark Watching Society

Wednesdays in May

5:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Last call 8:00 pm

*Free Grounds Admission with food and drink available for purchase

Every Wednesday night in April & May the grounds are free and open to the public. In an effort to keep the waters of Lake Superior shark-free, join us every Wednesday night in April & May to keep watch on the shore of Lake Superior.

Glensheen is the only legal location for a bonfire on the shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota, so we’ll add one or two of those to keep you toasty as you scan the waters for finned beasts.

Food & Drink

Kick back with a local beer in hand, and don’t forget your binoculars! Food and drink are available for purchase in the Garage of the Carriage House. Explore the estate with a taco in hand…. a Walking Taco! Tacos with bags of chips, choice of beef or black beans, cheese, lettuce, sour cream, and Little Angie’s fresh salsa are available for $5.

Wash those tacos down with beer, wine, and other special drinks. A small selection of beer and wine will be available for purchase. Here are the signature drinks for April:

  • Sharktail
    • Vikre Aquavit, Pineapple Juice, Splash of Sprite + topped with Blue Curacao
  • Boathouse Rum
    • Parrot Bay Mango Rum, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Pineapple Juice, Splash of Sprite + topped with Rose’s Grenadine
  • Tropical AF Punch
    • Alcohol free – Sprite, Pineapple Juice + Cherry on Top

Credit card and cash accepted. An ATM is not available onsite.

Health & Safety

If you have food to chew, grab your crew and scoot. When your mask is off, make it like a rocket and blastoff! Aka, please keep a six-foot distance from other groups when consuming food or drink with your mask off.

Top the night off next to a fire looking over an ominous Lake Superior or the picturesque Stone Arch Bridge. We know socialization is dire but please keep it under one roof around the fire. Aka, please only one household per campfire.

Chairs are limited, so please feel free to bring your own. Service dogs are allowed on the estate.
