Sunday Funday – Making Fall Themed Mason Jar Candles Holders

Glensheen is continuing the new programming series for kids called Sunday Funday. The new programming offers parents and their young children the chance to learn and be engaged with art, history, and fun.

For the Sunday Funday on October 21st, we will be making fall themed mason jar candles holders.


No ticket is required for this free event; however, an RSVP is required.

Rose was designated as the U.S. National Flower on October 7th. For the Sunday Funday on October 7th, we will be making rose crafts to hang around the house.

It’s Good Neighbor Day on September 28th! For the Sunday Funday on September 23th, we will be making personalized gift baskets to give to our favorite neighbor.

Sunday Funday – Citizenship Day/Constitution Day Kahoot

Glensheen is continuing the new programming series for kids called Sunday Funday. The new programming offers parents and their young children the chance to learn and be engaged with art, history, and fun.

It’s Citizenship Day and Constitution Day this week! For the Sunday Funday on September 16th, families will compete with each other on their knowledge about the constitution and be able to experience taking the citizenship exam. Come learn more with us about the Constitution.

It’s Grandparents Day on September 9th! For the Sunday Funday on September 9th, we will be making personalized gift cards for our elders and grandparents to let them know how much we appreciate them.

For the Sunday Funday on September 2nd, We will be exploring the lives of the servants at Glensheen in celebration of Labor Day.

For the Sunday Funday on August 26th, we will be exploring the Vegetable Gardens and learning more about gardening. Kids will also have the option to try some of the produce.

For the Sunday Funday on August 19th, we will be painting planters and be potting plants to take home. Plants will be provided by the UMD Greenhouse. Planters will be provided by Glensheen.

For the Sunday Funday on August 12th, you and your child can visit Glensheen and participate in the Sunday Funday Scavenger Hunt. The activity will allow you to learn more about the plants at Glensheen.
