Student Marketing Assistant

Glensheen is seeking a Marketing Assistant to work closely with the Marketing Manager to help with campaigns, advertising, and maintaining Glensheen’s social media presence. This position will require the creation of marketing material and distribution, along with other tasks to help Glensheen reach a larger audience. This position is for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys customer service and has a great work ethic. Student Housekeeping Services

Glensheen is hiring for Student Housekeepers, who ensure the Glensheen estate is prepared for a day of visitors; a popular destination on the shore of Lake Superior. Housekeeping services are focused on attention to detail, preservation, and the overall appearance of Glensheen. Excellent housekeeping is essential to the visitors’ first impressions of the massive estate. Students will gain experience in cleaning procedures to support historic preservation and additional learning experiences with commercial cleaning, safety operations, teamwork, independent task management, and museum operations. Glensheen is open during most major holidays and University breaks; working some holidays and breaks will be expected. This position requires working at least two weekends a month but may be scheduled for more depending on need.

Student Event Services

Glensheen is hiring Student Event Services employees, who work closely with clients and vendors to assist and create a flawless event hosted at Glensheen, a popular destination on the shore of Lake Superior. It is the role of event staff to go above and beyond the client’s expectations and create a lasting impression. Glensheen hosts a variety of events including evening dinners, concerts, business meetings, retreats, university functions, holiday parties, and more with occasional work outdoors in various weather conditions. Employees will gain experience in events, customer service, communication, teamwork, and independent task management. Glensheen is open during most major holidays and University breaks; working some holidays and breaks will be expected.

This job is for part-time evenings and weekends, with some possible weekday hours depending on scheduled events.
