What is the Glensheen Ticket Donation Program?
The Glensheen Ticket Donation Program is our way to give back to our community through supporting the fundraising efforts of others to make a difference to those they serve. This program allows us to donate a set of tickets for these events.
-
Do all donation requests need to go through this form? Can’t I just email or mail you a request or stop in?
Yes, all requests must be submitted via the online form. Those that email, mail, or stop in to make a request will be redirected to the online form. Glensheen will not consider email, mail, or stop in requests for this program.
Glensheen receives on average 25 to 50 requests per month for ticket donations. In order to make this process as efficient as possible, all donation requests must be submitted via the online form.
-
How far in advance do I need to submit a request?
Make your request as far in advance as possible. The event date must be a minimum of four weeks or 28 days into the future from the submission date. This allows Glensheen staff to review requests in a timely manner and contact you for ticket delivery. Requests made within less than four weeks or 28 days to the event will not be considered.
-
Does Glensheen have a limit to the number of ticket donations they will make in a month or calendar year?
Yes, Glensheen does limit the number of ticket donations they are able to make each month. The limit is based on the number of requests made in a given month, not based on the number of events. Example: Requests received in September will count towards the monthly limit for September even if the events are not taking place until October or November.
The online form will be made inactive when this limit is reached.
-
Is it possible to get a package with merchandise or a different tour option other than the Classic Mansion Tour?
No. At this time, the Classic Mansion Tour is the only tour available for the ticket donation program. If you wish to add more Glensheen related items to the ticket package, we encourage you to visit our Museum Shop to purchase those items.
-
Our organization hosts an event in the spring and the fall. Can we request a ticket donation for both events?
No. Organizations are limited to one donation per year.
-
How will I know the status of my donation request?
All communication will be sent via email related to your request. It is important that the contact email you listed in the form is accurate and checked regularly.
-
My request was approved! Can I pull a logo or photos from your website to use?
No. Glensheen will provide you with approved recognition language and files as part of your donation package.

- 501(c)(3) charitable organization without a religious affiliation
- 501(c)(4) civic league or social welfare organization

If your organization meets one of these criteria but is primarily engaged in political advocacy, it is not eligible for a donation from this program. An Employer Identification Number (EIN) is required on a later question to enable Glensheen to verify your organization’s status as one of these eligible types.

What types of educational institutions are eligible?
Eligible educational institutions include:
- Private or public universities
- Charter, private, or public schools enrolling students in pre-K, primary, or secondary grade levels

-
How specific do I need to be with the question around “how proceeds will be used to support the beneficiary”?
If your event has a specific purpose or project that you are raising money for, you should list it. Examples could be:
- New furnace for the organization’s museum building
- Scholarship funds for students to participate in our Study Abroad program
- Purchase of 10 AEDs to be placed in multiple community spaces to aid in emergency response
If your event is broadly organized to raise funds to support future projects not yet determined, provide examples of how this event or your organization has used past donations to support its mission. Example: Last year’s event raised $10,000, which allowed us to offer grants to Acme Elementary School. Awarded grants included the purchase of updated reading curriculum materials and three new smartboards for 3rd grade classrooms.
