We hide 10 coins everyday!
We call it… Tim the Fox’s Coin Hunt
With the purchase of a Tour or Grounds Pass, all will have the chance to hunt for 10 coins hidden throughout the estate. Once a guest finds a coin, they should bring it to the Gift Shop in the Carriage House for a Tim the Fox tattoo (limit one per guest). Once all 10 coins have been found for the day, they’re gone until the next day.
PRO TIP: They are hidden in areas we want guests to experience, like near chairs or pathways. We want them to be fairly easy to find for kids.
Grounds Pass Details
Grounds passes are $5 for non-members
Guests 15 years old & younger are FREE with the purchase of an adult Grounds Pass.
Members, UMD students, and Active Military Personnel and their families receive FREE grounds passes.
Feel free to come on down between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Grounds close at 6:00 pm.
Who is Tim the Fox?
A few years ago, we started constantly seeing a fox on the estate. We saw it so often we named it Tim. Shortly after Tim started showing up, we were digging in the archives and found historic pictures of baby foxes and a fox den that was made on the estate! Therefore, we believe that Tim the Fox is a descendant of the historic family of foxes that made their home on the estate years ago.
