Shark on the Lake is a family-friendly, outdoor space with local Love Creamery ice cream and local drinks available for purchase. Imagine you and your family enjoying a perfect Duluth day on Glensheen’s Lake Superior shoreline with ice cream and a drink in hand. The kids can throw rocks into the Lake and eat local Love Creamery ice cream while you and your partner sit down and enjoy a local beer, glass of wine, or signature cocktail – the Sharktail.
WHERE IS IT LOCATED EXACTLY ON THE GLENSHEEN ESTATE? AND HOW DO I GET THERE?
Ice cream is available for purchase in the Garage space of the Carriage House & drinks are available for purchase at the lakeside Shark Shack.
First, you’ll need to check-in at the Ticket House
Follow the yellow line from the parking lot to the Lake.
You will see the giant wooden shark, wood hut, and bar.
IS IT OFFERED RAIN OR SHINE?
Ice cream is offered rain or shine. The bar is operated in fair weather or shine only.
IS THERE SEATING AVAILABLE?
There are a handful of picnic tables available
IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE?
Get food delivered, like Sammy’s pizza, right to your picnic table on the shore.
Yes, most places will deliver directly to your picnic table!
Or bring your own picnic (no outside alcohol or glass is allowed.)
The signature cocktail is the Sharktail, made with liquor from the local, Vikre Distillery.
