Find the Sharks
Our latest scavenger hunt in the mansion is called FIND THE SHARKS
There are 16 sharks hidden throughout the mansion for kids and kids at heart to eye-spy!
It’s simply a fun activity to keep the kiddos engaged while on tour. All sharks can be found on the General Admission tour.
Plus, finding the sharks is a great way to celebrate the opening of SHARK ON THE LAKE with us
Shark on the Lake
Shark on the Lake is a community space on our Lake Superior shoreline where local Love Creamery ice cream and drinks are available for purchase.
Shark on the Lake is open daily (shine only) from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
It is a family-friendly, outdoor space making for the perfect tour enhancement! Parents: Think, a drink for you and endless rock throwing entertainment for the kids.
Shark on the Lake is free for tour guests and members to enjoy. Or purchase a Grounds Pass for $5 per adult. Youth 15-years-old and younger are free with a paid adult.
Guests are encouraged to download the free Glensheen app, roam the grounds and learn about the estate with ice cream or a drink in hand.
Plus, it’s a great lunch option! Plenty of local restaurants will deliver right to your picnic table on the shore.
Eat lunch at Glensheen
Thanks to our friends at Duluth Loves Local for putting together this list of curbside and delivery restaurants.
Many of the restaurants listed will deliver right to your picnic table at Glensheen!
Tim the Fox's Coin Hunt
This is our Grounds Scavenger Hunt. We hide NEW coins everyday! We call it… Tim the Fox’s Coin Hunt
With the purchase of any mansion tour or Grounds Pass, all will have the chance to hunt for 10 coins hidden throughout the estate. Once a guest finds a coin, they should bring it to the Carriage House for a FREE General Admission pass (limit one per guest). Guests may keep the coins so once all 10 coins have been found for the day, they’re gone until the next day.
PRO TIP: They are hidden in areas we want guests to experience, like near chairs or pathways. We want them to be fairly easy to find for kids.
