Concerts on the Pier is a quintessential Duluth summer experience. Local, Minnesota musicians play on the end of Glensheen’s 100-ft pier that juts out into Lake Superior. Concert goers pack the shoreline and arrive to watch the show via every watercraft vehicle imaginable.
Teague Alexy & The Common Thread
Award-winning Duluth-based musician, author and storyteller Teague Alexy is probably best known for his Americana songwriting in the national touring brothers duo Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank. Or, maybe Teague is best known for his song “A Good Clean High (off a dirt cheap bottle of wine).” Teague’s guitar, harmonica and songwriting are clearly influenced by his home in Minnesota, his childhood in New Jersey, and his life as a travelling musical hobo that includes lengthy excursions through blues, reggae, Irish music, bluegrass, hip-hop, country and folk.

KAYAKS & CANOES
Glensheen DOES NOT offer onsite launching for canoes or kayaks. If you plan to launch your kayak at the 42nd Ave E & London Rd Beach, please DO NOT park on 42nd Ave E. Plan to park along or above London Rd and to carry your kayak down to the public beach access. Excessive congestion in this area can lead to problems for neighbors and emergency responders. Thank you for your cooperation!
If you must drive here, come well before 5:00 pm and purchase a $5 Grounds Admission and join us for ice cream and drinks at Shark on the Lake! Think of the $5 Grounds Admission as your parking pass.
Taking a tour prior to the concert is a great way to snag a good parking spot and the best seat on the shore. Glensheen is open daily from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm for self-guided tours.
If accommodations such as an interpreter are needed, please make accommodation requests two weeks in advance for each performance. Accommodation requests can be made by contacting [email protected]
